Organizing Students to Interact With Inside-Outside Circles

02:46

Denise Lang

The teacher has students form two concentric circles with an equal number of students in each circle. Students forming the inner circle stand facing outward, and students forming the outer circle stand facing inward. The teacher asks a question or presents a problem, and students discuss their thoughts, answers, and solutions with the person facing them. One circle rotates so that pairs are mixed.
